Lately date nights look like me in my pajamas or cozy loungewear and Netflix with Hubby, but we’ve recently started to go out for special occasions and being super careful where we go. I’m still slightly paranoid about Covid-19 but moving in the right direction of slowly socializing, even if it’s the same 4 people all the time. Sharing 10 date night outfits that can be for dinner with your significant other, or at home and you just want to “dress up” a bit more than pajamas! With Valentine’s Day coming up it’s a perfect outfit resource for you to come back to check out too!
Date Night Outfits
Feminine Florals
10. Pretty Florals are always a nice way to dress up. Whether it’s a dress or skirt, I like pairing these cute dresses with boots to give it more of a street vibe.
Sparkle and Sequins
9. Sequins tops I usually reserve for New Year’s Eve or a very special date night like going to see a show or concert (obviously we’re not doing that anytime soon) so why not just pick a night to get super dressy and make the night special on your own!
Bodycon Dresses for Curvy Women
8. Bodycon dresses paired with denim jackets are my way of making it more casual and plus I won’t feel too self-conscious. Personally, I like certain ruched bodycon dresses so you don’t “see” everything!
7. Maxi dresses (in the summer) but you can also find ways to accessorize and wear in the cooler months too!
Chunky Cardigans and Tunics with Leggings
6. Dressy tank paired with a skirt and patterned tights with boots and a chunky cardigan. This is kind of my jam, just throwing these items together but making it work, and the boots just bring it all together. I usually opt for all black with some hints of gold or silver.
5. Tunic sweaters with my oh-so favorite mom uniform Spanx faux leather leggings. Sometimes I like to wear with flats or in the winter pair with knee high boots. Super casual, comfortable and you don’t have to worry about the jeans being too tight at the dinner table! Check out my post on “6 Ways to Wear Faux Leather Leggings”
Off the Shoulder or Cold Shoulder Sweaters
4. Off the shoulder top or sweater that shows a little more skin than you normally do during the week. I’m a huge fan of these because I don’t have to worry about bra straps and can we say, comfy?!!
3. Matching loungewear sets that are super soft and cozy for both you and your significant other to snuggle up in watching Netflix.
2. Sweater dresses in the winter are soooo in right now and for good reason! They aren’t too form-fitting, but are super cute and classy when you pair with some knee high boots and / or a belt. They also transition really well from winter to spring!
- High waisted jeans (preferably the distressed or ripped kind) paired with a silky tank, a chunky cardigan (if in the winter) and some ankle boots for that rock n’ roll street vibe. If you add your favorite designer inspired belt, even better! For summer months, I love this look with studded wedge sandals and a crossbody bag.
I hope these outfits inspired you to try something new for a future date night with your hubby or significant other! Don’t forget to always try and plan a night out (or in) without kiddos so you can bond and have an adult conversation! We know we could all use a little bit of that nowadays!
Big hugs,
